Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal and astrological data we collect, why we collect it, how it is handled, and what rights you have over your data. It constitutes our notice to you under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025, and fulfills our obligations under the Information Technology Act, 2000.

1. What We Collect

Information you provide: Your name, date of birth, exact time of birth, place of birth (city/coordinates), gender, questions submitted for astrological clarity, and contact details (email address or phone number).
Automatically collected data: Device and browser type, operating system, IP address, application version, crash diagnostics, and usage analytics (see below).
Payment details: We never receive or store your complete credit/debit card numbers, CVV, UPI PINs, or net-banking passwords. All payment transactions are securely processed directly by our RBI-authorized payment aggregator.

Analytics: We use PostHog, Inc., with servers in the United States, as our analytics processor. From your first visit it records the pages you open, what you tap, where your visit came from (such as an ad, a search or a shared link), and recordings of how pages are used, with everything you type hidden. Our server also reports sign-ups, questions asked and answered, and payments. All of it is tied to an internal account number, never your phone number, and PostHog never receives your name, birth details or the questions you ask. To stop this browser sending analytics, choose ; it stays off on later visits until you turn it back on. It does not stop our server's reports of sign-ups, questions and payments, which carry only the account number.

Advertising measurement: To see which of our ads bring people to Gragam, our website loads the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.) and the Google tag (Google LLC). They receive the pages you open, and three moments: that an account was created, that a checkout was started, and that a pack was bought, with its price and our order number. Like any website request, they also receive your IP address and browser details, and they may set cookies. They never receive your phone number, name, birth details or the questions you ask. Meta and Google use this under their own privacy policies, including to measure and improve ads. “Don't track me” above turns these off too.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your birth date, time, and coordinates exclusively to compute planetary positions, ascendant (Lagna), moon sign (Rasi), nakshatra, and running Vimshottari Dasa/Bhukti cycles according to classical ephemeris calculations, and to provide accurate astrological guidance for your life decisions.

3. What We Never Do

No selling or renting: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or astrological data to any third party for any price.
No ad targeting from your chart: We never use your chart data, questions, or private consultation topics to build advertising profiles or targeting signals.
No remedy or ritual upselling: We do not share your details with gemstone vendors, pooja performers, or remedy sellers.

4. Communications & Notifications

Service Messages: Transaction receipts, sign-in codes, security alerts, and plan renewal notices are essential to your account operation and cannot be unsubscribed independently.

Promotional Messages: Sent only if you explicitly opt in. You may withdraw consent at any time from your account settings or by emailing gragam@appspirelabs.com.

5. Data Security & Storage

All data in transit is protected using TLS 1.3 encryption, and sensitive records are encrypted at rest. Access to server infrastructure is restricted on a strict least-privilege basis.

6. Your Rights

Under applicable Indian data protection laws, you have the right to access, correct, update (e.g., verifying an exact birth minute), or permanently erase your saved charts and account data at any time.
